- Agree scope with MS-NPO Sales Lead, Services Account Manager, CT Project Manager and customer
- Ensure that the project includes everything required for successful delivery and nothing more
- Manage scope change through change control process
- Prepare project delivery schedule in presales phase
- Baseline project delivery schedule on receipt of customer or risk order
- Ensure that the project is correctly planned in terms of schedule, dependencies and estimates of task durations
- Manage project activities to meet agreed project milestones
- Manage external interfaces to ensure that dependency milestones are achieved
- Prepare initial project cost budget in presales phase
- Baseline approved project cost budget on receipt of customer purchase order (PO) or risk order (RO)
- Confirm MS-NPO sales income and margin from PO or RO
- Monitor and control project costs to remain within budget and protect margin
- Maintain accurate account of project costs and forecasts (Project Manager’s Workbook)
- Define communications plan in the Project Management Plan
- Provide regular progress reports to customer and stakeholders
- Provide monthly financial status and forecast report to MS-NPO Senior Management and team members
- Identify clearly issues and risks, and ensure high risks and critical issues are communicated to MS-NPO senior management and stakeholders
- Ensure key customer issues are communicated clearly to stakeholders
- Prepare in a timely way local and MS-NPO technical support teams for eventual handover
